BNK Gyeongnam Bank signed a 'Cold Wave Shelter Business Agreement' with Jinju City on the 9th to establish a winter natural disaster safety net.

The cold wave shelter business agreement was prepared to provide more accessible and safe cold wave shelters to local residents in accordance with Jinju City's special measures to overcome the severe winter cold.


According to the business agreement, BNK Gyeongnam Bank will designate all its branches located in the Jinju area as shelter locations and open them free of charge to protect local residents from the cold wave.


Jae-moon Lim, Executive Director of BNK Gyeongnam Bank, said, "We have signed the cold wave shelter business agreement to participate in Jinju City's special measures to protect disaster-vulnerable groups. We hope many local residents will safely escape the cold at BNK Gyeongnam Bank branches designated as cold wave shelters."


Gyu-il Jo, Mayor of Jinju City, said, "We sincerely thank BNK Gyeongnam Bank and others for willingly participating in the agreement to operate cold wave shelters in preparation for unexpected cold waves caused by abnormal weather. We hope that by expanding resting spaces to overcome the cold weather, vulnerable groups sensitive to cold and mobile workers such as delivery and courier drivers can spend a warm winter both physically and mentally."
