Delivery of 10kg Kimchi 100 Boxes, Ramen 100 Boxes, and 500 Sets of Rubber Gloves
Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 9th that it received 100 boxes of 10kg kimchi, 100 boxes of ramen, and 500 sets of rubber gloves from the Taego Order of Korean Buddhism General Headquarters on the 5th for the underprivileged in Goyang City.

The delivery ceremony was attended by 16 people, including Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang, Sangjin Monk of the Taego Order General Headquarters, Gyeongwol Monk, Head of the Northern Gyeonggi Provincial Office, and Monk Wongwang, Chairman of the Northern Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly.
Sangjin Monk, General Director of the Taego Order, said, "The weather has become quite cold, and I hope the donated items will be a small help to the neighbors who have to endure a difficult winter."
The Taego Order General Headquarters of Korean Buddhism also donated 1,000 kg of rice for low-income families in Goyang City last November.
Lee Dong-hwan, Mayor of Goyang Special City, said, "Following the donation of rice for compassion sharing at the Taego Cultural Festival last October, I am grateful for the continued warmth extended to the underprivileged in Goyang City."
The donated items will be delivered to low-income families and social welfare institutions in Goyang City through the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest.
