Damyang-gun Announces Recruitment for Youth Policy Council Members

For ages 19 to 49... Applications accepted until the 27th

Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Byeong-no) announced on the 6th that it will publicly recruit members of the 4th Damyang-gun Youth Policy Council, who will listen to the diverse voices of local youth and jointly develop policies, until the 27th.

The Youth Policy Council is a youth participation organization that plays roles such as discovering and proposing youth policy agendas, collecting opinions, and monitoring.

The number of recruits is up to 30 people, aged 19 to 49 residing in Damyang as of the announcement date. Anyone interested in county administration and youth policy and able to actively participate in council activities can apply.

Youth wishing to serve as council members can download the application form from the Notices and Announcements section on the Damyang-gun official website, fill it out, and submit it in person to the Population and Youth Policy Team at the Participation and Communication Office of Damyang-gun Office, or send it via email to the person in charge. The selection results will be individually notified and announced on the Damyang-gun website in early January next year.

The selected members will engage in various activities for two years starting with the inauguration ceremony, including discovering and proposing youth policy agendas, policy monitoring, cultural exchanges among youth networks, and attending advanced benchmarking visits.

A county official said, “We will listen carefully to the voices of youth, the main agents of youth policy, so that they can actively participate in county administration in various fields,” and added, “We ask for the interest and participation of many young people in this Youth Policy Council member recruitment.”
