Assemblyman Yoon Geon-young: "What kind of investigation is that?"
Woo Jong-su, head of the National Police Agency's Criminal Investigation Headquarters, stated on the 5th that the investigation into President Yoon Seok-yeol for the crime of rebellion will be conducted "according to the established procedures."
On the same day, Woo made this remark during the plenary session of the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee in response to a question from Yoon Geon-young, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, asking if there was a willingness to directly investigate the president.
When Representative Yoon said, "I am asking about the willingness to investigate," Woo replied, "Of course. Without willingness, how could a case be assigned?"
Woo also stated that regarding the allegations of collusion involving the Minister of the Interior and Safety and the Commissioner General of the National Police Agency, "We plan to investigate the raised suspicions."
Representative Yoon criticized, saying, "The people are asking about the head's willingness," and added, "How can any investigation proceed in that manner?"
