Second certification achievement... Awarded the Minister of the Interior and Safety Prize
Paju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 5th that it received the 2024 Excellent Public Employee Labor-Management Culture Administrative Agency Certification along with the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award on the 4th.

The Excellent Public Employee Labor-Management Culture Administrative Agency Certification, promoted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, is an evaluation system aimed at spreading a win-win and cooperative labor-management culture in the public sector. After the first document screening and the second on-site inspection and face-to-face evaluation, 14 agencies nationwide were selected.
Paju City received the certification for the second time this year following its first certification in 2021, earning high marks for ▲ improving employee welfare through annual labor-management council meetings ▲ conducting regular labor-management communication meetings ▲ efforts to overcome and prevent labor-management conflicts.
Lee Sang-yeop, the labor union chairman, said, “We are pleased that the efforts made together by labor and management for union members have been well evaluated,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to create a mutually beneficial labor-management relationship.”
Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju City stated, “The labor union is a partner in city administration and holds the power to represent public officials,” and said, “We will strive to become a strong labor-management team that works and cooperates together for the citizens.”
