Incheon City held an emergency meeting at around 11:20 PM on the 3rd, immediately after President Yoon Seok-yeol's declaration of martial law, chaired by Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok of Incheon.
Mayor Yoo held an executive meeting for about an hour that day to assess the situation following the declaration of martial law and to discuss future measures. Mayor Yoo stated, "Above all, we will make every effort to ensure regional safety and prevent any disruption to citizens' livelihoods."
An Incheon city official stated, "After the declaration of martial law, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety issued an order to local governments to close government buildings, but no actual closure measures were implemented."
Meanwhile, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency also convened executives from relevant departments such as the Anti-Terrorism Unit, Special Forces, and Mobile Unit following the declaration of martial law. Chiefs and section chiefs were urgently summoned, and employees were instructed to remain on standby at home.
