"The Illegal Parts Will Be Revealed Through the Ruling"
Actress Kim Sung-eun (33) confessed that she was mocked after strongly criticizing the protest by some current students of her alma mater Dongduk Women's University against the transition to coeducation.
On the 2nd, Kim Sung-eun wrote on her Instagram story, "South Korea is a democratic country where freedom of expression is guaranteed," adding, "Those who oppose the protest at my alma mater, including myself, have their own reasons and have the right to freely express their opinions."

She continued, "I am experiencing all kinds of ridicule and harassment just because I do not stand in solidarity with or support you, the unspecified majority, but I do not care," and added, "Any illegal matters involving the school or me will ultimately be revealed through court rulings."
She said, "I raised just a single voice, but it was met with a fierce response of a thousand words," and "A few days ago, after expressing my opinion, my husband asked if I was okay. I replied that I was fine, and I hope all of you who are cheering me on are also doing well."
Earlier, on the 28th of last month, Kim Sung-eun voiced her opposition to the occupation protest at Dongduk Women's University on Instagram. At that time, she shared a post made by a student opposing the protest, which included a photo of posters put up on campus along with the message, "Please stop the low-level and extremely crude forced protest."

Kim Sung-eun began her career as a child actress playing the role of "Midari" in the popular sitcom "Soonpoong Clinic" aired in 1998. She is also an alumna of Dongduk Women's University, having graduated from the Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment.
Meanwhile, Kim Sung-eun is not the only celebrity to have expressed her stance regarding the protest against the transition to coeducation at Dongduk Women's University. Earlier, actress Kim Soo-jung (20), who gained fame as the so-called "Answer Girl" on the 2010 quiz program "Golden Bell," was the first entertainer to participate in the signature campaign opposing the transition and appealed for support of the protest.
Since last month, some students at Dongduk Women's University have been continuing sit-ins and class boycotts opposing the transition to coeducation. The school has filed a complaint under the name of the president against 21 individuals, including the student council president and unidentified persons, on charges of joint property damage and joint trespassing of buildings.
