The fire station plans to complete 100% inspection by early December through weekly visits to management offices and delivering notices to households for the remaining unchecked apartment complexes.
Go Young-joo, chief of Suwon Southern Fire Station, said, "In old apartments in the area, if there is no sprinkler system during a fire and initial extinguishing is not possible, significant casualties and property damage can occur," adding, "We plan to inspect fire extinguishing equipment such as fire extinguishers installed in households, automatic diffusion extinguishers, and evacuation lightweight partitions."
