In this event, jointly planned by labor and management to revitalize traditional markets in the Ulju area and support vulnerable groups in the community, employees directly visited Namchang Onggijongi Market and purchased local agricultural products worth about 1 million won. The cooks working at the Talent Development Institute then prepared side dishes from these products and delivered them to 40 vulnerable households, including single-parent families and elderly living alone in Seosaeng-myeon.

Additionally, the event included a ‘Bye-Bye Plastic Campaign’ to reduce the use of disposable bags, distributing over 100 eco-friendly shopping bags to market merchants and customers. The campaign also promoted carbon neutrality practices in daily life and conducted an integrity campaign.

Director Lee Han-yong of the Talent Development Institute said, “As the year-end approaches, I am glad that we could add warmth from our employees by providing heartfelt side dishes to neighbors in need within the community. We will continue to carry out various sharing activities to be a reliable partner for our neighbors in the local society.”

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Talent Development Institute is a specialized educational institution for training personnel of KHNP and its partner companies. The institute has been conducting community service activities every year using its own infrastructure, such as donating educational books to local children’s centers, implementing science experience programs, and volunteering to prepare side dishes for vulnerable groups.
