Seosan City in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 25th that executives and staff members of Seosan and Dangjin agricultural cooperatives participated in the Hometown Love Donation program, making cross-donations totaling 35 million KRW.

The Hometown Love Donation Program is a system that provides benefits such as tax deductions and return gifts when donors contribute to metropolitan or local governments other than their place of residence.

The donations are used to support vulnerable groups, revitalize local communities, and improve residents' welfare.

On this day, a donation ceremony was held at the mayor's office in Seosan City Hall, attended by Mayor Lee Wanseop of Seosan, Song Yeongwang, head of the Seosan branch of NH Nonghyup, Kim Kigon, head of Daesan Nonghyup, Park Donghwa, head of Gobuk Nonghyup, Jeon Cheolsu, head of the Dangjin branch of NH Nonghyup, Jang Yeonggil, head of Songsan Nonghyup, and Nam Gichan, head of Daehoji Nonghyup.

The Council for the Operation of Agricultural Cooperatives in Seosan and Dangjin signed a business agreement for cross-donations of the Hometown Love Donation Program at the NH Nonghyup Seosan branch meeting room in June.

The agreement was attended by representatives from 12 agricultural cooperatives in Seosan and 14 in Dangjin. Cross-donation refers to two regions (cities or counties) forming a pair and delivering donations collected in their own region to the counterpart region.

Mayor Lee Wanseop of Seosan said, "I would like to thank the officials and staff of the Seosan and Dangjin local governments and agricultural cooperatives for their efforts to promote the Hometown Love Donation Program," adding, "I hope this ceremony will serve as an opportunity for mutual development through cooperation and exchange between the two local governments."

Song Yeongwang, head of the NH Nonghyup Seosan branch, stated, "We will pay even more attention to the Hometown Love Donation Program, which supports agriculture, rural communities, and the local economy," and expressed his gratitude to the agricultural cooperative staff who willingly participated in the cross-donation."
