The lecture, held for two hours from 6 p.m. at the National Mokpo University 70th Anniversary Hall, was planned to provide high-quality humanities programs to university members and local residents as part of National Mokpo University's 2023 declaration as a ‘Culture and Arts-Centered University.’

Actor Moon Sung-geun currently serves as the chairman of the Pyeongchang International Peace Film Festival, the head of the Citizen Culture School for a Coexisting Society, and a standing committee member of the People's Command. His notable works include numerous productions such as Flower Petal and Out of the World. This year, he delivered a high-level performance as Won Chang-ho, the ruthless chairman of a mold group, in the SBS drama Connection, and he has announced plans for continued active work as an actor.

In this humanities concert, poet Hwang Ji-woo questioned actor Moon Sung-geun about his career trajectory in accordance with the flow of modern Korean history, and actor Moon responded in a dialogue format, calmly expressing the role and concerns of an actor as a persona of the era.

National Mokpo University declared itself a culture and arts-centered university last year and has been conducting various programs that enable communication and mutual growth between the university and the local community through culture and arts.

Meanwhile, on the 12th of next month, a humanities concert featuring novelist Hwang Seok-young as a guest speaker is scheduled to mark the finale of 2024.
