'If snow falls under the November sunshine...'. A story that seems like it could only come from a novel momentarily became a reality.

This is about the first-ever Christmas festival held at Namsan Park in Hwasun, Jeonnam, called the ‘Mirimir Christmas’ festival. As expected, over 27,000 visitors attended the event over the three days. The 'paradigm shift in ideas' turned it into a successful festival.

The event was organized by the Hwasun County Culture and Tourism Foundation (Chairman Gu Bok-gyu) and took place over three days from the 22nd to the 24th.

The 10-meter large ‘Star Tree’ installed at the center of Namsan Park and the nighttime light sculptures colored the festival venue with a fantastic atmosphere, captivating tourists both day and night.

The highlight was the ultra-premium marching band parade show under the November sunshine, with pure white snow falling. From the entrance, a huge crowd gathered, creating a spectacular scene as many followed the parade throughout its route.

Park Sang-hyun, team leader of the Hwasun County Culture and Tourism Foundation, said, "We are delighted that this ‘Mirimir Christmas’ festival held at Namsan Park could give visitors special memories," adding, "We will continue to plan new festivals in harmony with the region and do our best to establish Hwasun as a representative cultural and tourism content."
