Yonsei University’s objection to the court decision suspending the validity of the 2025 academic year early admission natural sciences essay exam was rejected.
On the 20th, the Civil Division 21 of the Seoul Western District Court (Presiding Judge Jeon Boseong) announced that it had dismissed Yonsei University's objection to the provisional injunction.
The court stated, "The part of the provisional injunction ruling against the debtor (Yonsei University) is approved." This means that the original decision partially accepting the provisional injunction is upheld.
The court explained the reason for the decision, saying, "Even after reviewing the additional claims and materials submitted through the objection along with the existing materials, the parts disputed by Yonsei University still demonstrate the protected rights and the necessity of preservation."
Earlier, on the 15th, the court partially accepted the provisional injunction request filed by examinees asking to suspend the validity of the essay exam, halting subsequent procedures including the announcement of successful candidates in the natural sciences essay until the ruling on the class action lawsuit demanding a retest was delivered.
