On the 18th, the Gwangju Regional Tax Office held a 'communication meeting' at the government Gwangju joint office conference room with Kim Seong-hoo, chairman of the Gwangju Tax Accountants Association, and nine executives of the Gwangju Tax Accountants Association, the office announced on the 19th.

At the meeting, major issues such as year-end tax settlement and interim payment of comprehensive income tax were explained, and mutual cooperation measures for the development of national tax administration and smooth tax management were discussed, along with listening to the difficulties faced by tax agents.

Park Gwang-jong, head of the Gwangju Regional Tax Office, requested, "We ask the Gwangju Tax Accountants Association to act as a bridge between the tax authorities and taxpayers," and Kim Seong-hoo, chairman of the Gwangju Tax Accountants Association, responded, "We will continuously communicate with the Gwangju Regional Tax Office to protect taxpayers' rights and support sincere tax payment."

Since his appointment, Director Park has visited the chambers of commerce in Mokpo, Gwangyang, Gwangju, Gunsan, and Yeosu to listen to the difficulties experienced by local businesspeople on the front lines of management and has been strengthening on-site communication activities by seeking multifaceted tax support measures.

The Gwangju Regional Tax Office has selected ▲personnel management ▲office management ▲workload reduction ▲response to malicious civil complaints ▲enhancement of taxpayer satisfaction as its 'five major focus tasks,' promoting work improvement and sharing creative research results through creative learning club presentation competitions. In addition, it holds the Gwangju Office Excellence Awards and new employee workshops to boost staff morale and support early adaptation of new employees to the workplace.

Director Park said, "Considering the domestic recession centered on the construction industry and the overall economic downturn in the Yeosu National Industrial Complex, which focuses on the petrochemical industry, we have opened a communication channel between the local chambers of commerce, economic organizations, and the Gwangju Office." He added, "Through this, we will systematically and proactively collect the difficulties and grievances of businesspeople and promptly implement tax support such as deadline extensions."
