6 Companies, 7 Fields Innovation Awards: RoboOne (2), PTBro, Jim, New Energy, CIT, Mapsi
First-time Exclusive Operation of 'CES 2025' Integrated Busan Pavilion, 23 Busan Companies Expected to Participate
Busan City announced that six companies in seven fields won the 'CES Innovation Awards' ahead of 'ES 2025,' the world's largest electronics exhibition to be held in Las Vegas, USA, in January next year.
The award-winning companies are six in total: ▲ Robowon (AI recycling robot, Robin) ▲ PTBro (home care device for temporomandibular joint disorder pain relief, AirCris) ▲ Jim (foldable portable travel guitar, Mogabi) ▲ New Energy (carbon reduction boiler ion heating system subscription service) ▲ CIT (antenna for ㎜Wave band in Beyond 5G communication environment) ▲ Mapsi (maritime navigation applying computer vision and multi-sensor technology). Among them, Robowon received innovation awards in two fields.
This award is the largest scale since the city started its support project in 2021, which can be seen as the result of continuous efforts to support small and medium startups and technology development.
Unlike previous years, the recruitment period for companies applying for the 'CES Innovation Awards' was moved up, and active promotional activities were conducted to encourage many excellent companies to apply. A 'Global Strategy Briefing' was held, and customized one-on-one consulting was provided to offer guidance tailored to each company's characteristics.
In addition, to help the innovation award judges recognize the excellence of the products at a glance, support was provided for producing English videos of the application products.
The city, together with its affiliated institutions, is actively supporting various programs for small and startup companies in future advanced industries to participate in the 'CES 2025' exhibition.
Along with Busan Economic Promotion Agency, Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, Busan Technopark, and Startup Economic Innovation Center, support was provided not only for exhibition participation but also for business capability enhancement education, corporate activities (IR, investor relations), and briefings (meetups).
Through this, local companies were able to prove their innovation achievements on the global stage and achieve the record-high number of 'CES Innovation Awards.'
Notably, for the first time next year, a dedicated pavilion named 'Integrated Busan Pavilion' will be operated at 'CES 2025.' Twenty-five booths have been secured, and exhibitions of 23 Busan companies will be supported there.
The companies participating in the Integrated Busan Pavilion include Samwon FA, SlashBslash, Bloomsbury Lab, Jim, Core Movement, Terence, Cotron, K Watercraft, Mapsi, New Energy, PTBro, Marina Chain, Sharpen Goat, Ease Communications, Ronpic, Total Softbank, Taki, Koai, Lab O2One, Samwoo Immersion, Somuna, Elect, and CIT.
'Team Busan,' composed of companies participating in the exhibition, will hold a launching ceremony at Domohon at 2 p.m. on November 25. About 70 stakeholders including the city, related organizations, and participating companies will attend to network.
Mayor Park Hyung-jun said, “This 'CES 2025 Innovation Award' win proves that Busan companies' technological capabilities are world-class,” and added, “We will continue to provide unwavering support so that Busan companies can demonstrate competitiveness on the global stage.”
