Seohayan, SNS Post After 10 Months
Seo Ha-yan, the wife of singer and actor Lim Chang-jung, resumed her social media activity after 10 months. Seo stopped her SNS activity shortly after her husband Lim was suspected of being involved in the stock price decline incident triggered by SG (Soci?t? G?n?rale) Securities.
On the 17th, Seo posted a video on her Instagram with the caption, "I infinitely believe in the space you have left without doubt. A clumsy but direct piano practice video." In the video, Lim Chang-jung sat at the piano, played it himself, and sang his new song "What Will Happen Will Happen." Seo had not posted anything since January 29.
Lim Chang-jung halted his activities in the music industry last April amid allegations of being involved with an investment consulting firm identified as a stock manipulation group. At that time, it was revealed that Lim invested 3 billion won with CEO Ra Deok-yeon of Hoan, a key figure in the SG Securities stock price decline incident, and attended meetings of stock manipulation group members and investors, where he praised CEO Ra, raising suspicions of his involvement in the crime. Lim was investigated by prosecutors as a suspect involved in stock manipulation but was cleared without indictment by the Joint Financial and Securities Crime Investigation Division of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office last April.
Regarding this, Lim Chang-jung wrote on his social media, "Even if I do not receive legal punishment for my ignorant actions and immature choices, I cannot hide my shameful behavior. I am truly upset and remorseful for the past days when I could not focus on my main work as an artist and caused disappointment to many." He added, "I will never forget all these events and will live a life of reflection forever."
After being cleared, Lim Chang-jung prepared for a comeback in the music industry. On the 5th, his agency MBOX announced that Lim would release his 18th full-length album and return on the 1st of next month. On the 1st, Lim released the pre-release track from the album, "What Will Happen Will Happen." The song expresses the meetings and partings of people connected by coincidental fate in an emotional pop ballad genre.
Meanwhile, Seo Ha-yan and Lim Chang-jung overcame an 18-year age gap and got married in 2017. Since then, Seo appeared with Lim on the SBS variety show "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny."
