DB Insurance Supports Training Expenses for 'Glove' Protagonist Chungju Seongsim School Baseball Team

DB Insurance announced on the 14th that it invited faculty and staff as well as baseball team students from Chungju Seongsim School to the Wonju Sports Complex, where it presented training support funds of 2 million KRW and watched a basketball game together.

Since first establishing a relationship with Chungju Seongsim School, which inspired the 2013 film "Glove" about a baseball team for the hearing impaired, DB Insurance has consistently supported the school for 12 years. The total amount of donations and scholarships provided to date has reached 300 million KRW. These funds are used not only for the baseball team but also to help students from financially disadvantaged families pursue their dreams and challenges. Additionally, employees of DB Insurance’s Chungbuk Business Unit have participated in improving the school environment and supporting the baseball team’s equipment needs.

Furthermore, DB Insurance operates various social contribution programs, including the social venture support project "Transportation and Environment Challenge" aimed at solving social issues in transportation and environment, the Promi119 Safety Leader Camp, sponsorship of the KBS119 Awards, support for treatment costs for rare and incurable diseases, the employee volunteer group "Promi Volunteer Corps," and the sales-family-centered "Love Sharing Volunteer" activities.

A representative from DB Insurance stated, "We will continue to support and encourage the dreams and challenges of Chungju Seongsim School students through ongoing sponsorship and interest."
