Contribution to the Promotion of Elevator Safety Culture in Apartment Complexes

Seo Sang-gi, head of the Gwangju branch of the National Apartment Residents' Representatives Association (hereinafter Jeonayeon), was recognized for his contributions to elevator safety education and the spread of safety culture, receiving the 'Minister of the Interior and Safety Commendation.'
Seo recently received the Minister of the Interior and Safety Commendation as an awardee for elevator safety at the '2024 Elevator Safety Week Ceremony' held at the Grand Hall on the 5th floor of the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) in Yangjae-dong, Seoul. The '2024 Elevator Safety Merit Award' is an event that selects and honors individuals and organizations with outstanding achievements in elevator safety management and industrial promotion.
On the 15th, Seo stated, "This award is a spur to work even harder for elevator safety and the protection of residents' rights," adding, "I will do my best not only to create a community of 'livable apartments, beautiful apartments, and apartments together' but also to ensure the safety of elevators in multi-family housing."
Meanwhile, Seo, who was selected as a 'New Intellectual of Korea' in 2021, is actively engaged in various roles including a probation officer at the Ministry of Justice, a civil complaint mediation committee member at Gwangju Nam-gu Office, chairman of the public opinion gathering committee of the Gwangju regional committee of the National Unification Advisory Council, director of the Gwangju Nam-gu Veterans Association, operating committee member of the Baegun Square Street Food Zone, and chairman of the Public Relations Committee at the Gwangju Southern Branch of the Korea Legal Protection Welfare Corporation.
