Nonsan Mayor Baek Sunghyun: "I Will Shape Nonsan's Future with Flawless Administration"

Nonsan Mayor Baek Seonghyeon stated on the 12th, "Passion for Nonsan and its citizens is the foundation of our achievements," and added, "We will shape the future of Nonsan through flawless administration."

Presiding over a major executive meeting the previous day, Mayor Baek said, "We are making significant achievements and changes in the defense industry and agricultural policies, expanding our reach to the global stage."

He further urged, "Now is the time to break away from repetitive administration and continue to innovate with a forward-looking approach to governance."

During the meeting, the following topics were reviewed: selection of the Defense National Industrial Complex as an Opportunity Development Zone, preparations for the 2027 Nonsan Strawberry Industry Expo, the Nonsan K-FOOD Purchase Consultation Meeting, major year-end cultural and artistic events including the 22nd Yangchon Dried Persimmon Festival, and the development of infrastructure for the Tapjeongho Complex Cultural and Leisure Resort.

The city has been recognized as a hub for the defense industry, achieving results such as attracting the Defense Future Technology Research Center, Kayang University being selected as a Glocal University, and the final designation of the Defense National Industrial Complex as an Opportunity Development Zone.
