"Motorsports Revitalization" Automobile Racing Association Joins Hands with Local Governments and Related Organizations

The Korea Automobile Racing Association announced on the 11th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the promotion of sports and leisure, including motorsports, with five organizations including Jeollanam-do.


According to the agreement, the Automobile Racing Association and Jeollanam-do will cooperate to promote membership of the association and the Jeonnam Sarangae Supporters. They aim to revitalize the local economy and promote the popularization and development of motorsports through attracting and promoting sports and leisure events.

The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeonnam Province; Lim Eon-seok, Secretary General of the Automobile Racing Association; Son Jung-ho, President of the Korea Alpine Federation; Jung Chang-hoon, President of the Korea Swimming Federation; Lee Geum-yong, President of the Korea Park Golf Association; Koo Ja-rok, Vice President of the Korea Triathlon Association; and Song Jin-ho, President of the Jeonnam Sports Council. Secretary General Lim Eon-seok said, "Through this agreement, we will work with Jeollanam-do and sports organizations to further popularize motorsports."
