Since July 2019, Hanssem has signed a "business agreement to improve the welfare of firefighters" with the National Fire Agency and has been implementing initiatives such as "improving the environment of aging fire stations," "supporting memorial services for fallen firefighters," and "firefighter discounts."
The project to improve the environment of aging fire stations focuses on renovating old spaces such as dining rooms and waiting rooms. As of last month, it has improved the working conditions of 37 fire stations nationwide, including Iksan Inhwa 119 Safety Center and Busan Jure 119 Safety Center.
Hanssem provides souvenirs at the annual memorial service for fallen firefighters held every October and continuously supports discounts for firefighters. Active firefighters, their spouses, and direct lineal relatives can receive discounts when purchasing Hanssem products.
A Hanssem representative said, "We believe that helping firefighters work in a more comfortable environment is directly linked to creating a safe residential environment, so we are carrying out support activities," adding, "We will continue various support activities to fulfill our corporate social responsibility in the future."
