The multi-balm is a moisturizer that can be applied not only to the face but also to any dry areas, and recently, demand has been increasing for localized care such as around the eyes to address wrinkles.

Professor Kim evaluated the beauty functionality of discarded mangoes and immature apple mangoes from the thinning process during mango cultivation and succeeded in developing cosmetics based on scientific evidence. The technology and know-how accumulated through the cosmetic development will be transferred to the local cosmetic company BFCC.

Professor Kim stated, “New materials related to skin health and beauty are being developed, and consumer demand is gradually increasing, but there is still a lack of academic evidence on their precise efficacy and mechanisms for skin beauty,” adding, “We will continue to conduct various studies utilizing local specialties and devote ourselves to research that can help increase the income of local farmers.”
