Wonju City Operates 'Career Experience Medical Job Festival' Linked to Education Development Zone

Support for 'Halla University AI & Drone Career Experience' and 'Sangji University Korean Medicine Experience'

Wonju City, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Mayor Won Gang-su) announced on the 6th that the 'Kyungdong University Medical Job Festival' will be held for two days on November 16 and 17 at Kyungdong University as part of the Education Development Special Zone support project.

Wonju City Operates 'Career Experience Medical Job Festival' Linked to Education Development Zone

Medical career experience programs will be conducted for elementary, middle, and high school students in Wonju City under the theme of 'Becoming a Professional through Experience with Cutting-Edge Medical Facilities.'


Hands-on experiences in eight fields including nurse, physical therapist, optician, emergency medical technician, clinical pathologist, occupational therapist, dental technician, and dental hygienist have been prepared.


The program will operate four fields per day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the 16th and 17th, and a free shuttle bus service will be provided. Registration is open for the first 200 applicants until the 10th, and participation is free of charge. All participants will receive souvenirs, and prizes will be awarded through a drawing among those who submit reviews.

Mayor Won Gang-su of Wonju said, “I hope this will be an opportunity for students to experience various advanced industries and specialized career fields at universities located in Wonju and to nurture their dreams. We will do our best to foster talented individuals through various education development special zone projects and create living conditions so that they can settle in Wonju.”


Meanwhile, Wonju City plans to support programs such as 'Career Experience in AI, Drone, and Autonomous Electric Vehicles at Halla University' and 'Experience in Korean Medicine College Life, Generative AI, and Advanced Equipment Fusion at Sangji University' to help local students explore various advanced industries and specialized career fields and nurture their dreams.
