President Yoon Suk-yeol will hold a press conference on the 7th to disclose his stance on various recent issues and plans for government reform.

The Presidential Office announced that President Yoon is scheduled to hold a press conference at 10 a.m. on the 7th at the Yongsan Presidential Office.

A senior official from the Presidential Office stated, "As we reach the midpoint of the term, the President plans to report past achievements to the public and explain the future direction of government administration."

The official explained, "Through a Q&A session, the President intends to provide detailed explanations on all matters the public is curious about."

President Yoon is also expected to address sensitive issues such as the concerns regarding First Lady Kim Geon-hee and the controversy over interference in candidate nominations involving Mr. Myeong Tae-gyun.

Originally, President Yoon was expected to engage in public communication in the mid to late part of this month, but due to approval ratings dropping to the 10% range and mounting calls for reform within the ruling party, the schedule for the press conference and public address was moved up.

A senior official from the Presidential Office said, "We have been preparing for the press conference, and the staff agreed that it would be better to have the opportunity to speak to the public before the overseas trip, so the press conference was arranged."
