Harris Camp: "Trump, Another Election Fraud Lie... Worried Because He Might Lose"

[US Election 2024]

The campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate in the United States, on the 3rd (local time) disparaged former President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, for repeatedly raising the possibility of election fraud by saying "He should not have left the White House four years ago," stating that "he is lying because he is worried about losing."

In a statement released that day, the Harris campaign said, "While Vice President Harris was talking about her vision to rally voters and all Americans today at a church in Detroit, Donald Trump was busy violating the ninth commandment," referring to the ninth commandment which states, "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor."

The Harris campaign criticized, "Trump is spending the final days of the presidential campaign angry, unstable, and lying that the election was stolen," adding, "because he is worried about losing." They continued, "The American people need a leader who tells the truth and focuses on the people from the office," emphasizing, "That leader is Harris."

Former President Trump said during a rally in the battleground state of Pennsylvania that day, "I should not have left (the White House)" and "Honestly, we did so well and were so great." He also added, "So now there are hundreds of lawyers at every polling place (to prevent election fraud)." This is the same statement Trump made to his staff after losing the 2020 presidential election. Major foreign media outlets analyze that Trump is building a justification to overturn the results if he loses the election on the 5th.

Along with this, former President Trump also criticized the poll results showing Vice President Harris leading in Iowa, a state considered a Republican stronghold. He joked that reporters could get shot. According to a Des Moines Register poll released the previous day, Trump's support rate in Iowa was 44%, 3 percentage points lower than Harris's 47%. Although within the margin of error (±3.4 percentage points), this confirmed Democratic advantage in a region that had chosen the Republican Party in the last two presidential elections. Iowa, with 6 electoral votes, was expected to lean Republican and was not even considered a battleground state in this election.

The newly released polls of seven battleground states that day also confirmed Vice President Harris's lead. According to polls of seven battleground states released by The New York Times (NYT) and Siena College, Vice President Harris led by a narrow margin in four states: Nevada, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Georgia. The two major battleground states, Pennsylvania and Michigan, were tied, while the remaining state, Arizona, showed an advantage for former President Trump.

Meanwhile, after finishing worship and a speech at a Black church in Detroit, Michigan, Vice President Harris told reporters, "I just filled out my mail-in ballot. I have completed voting." When asked about the possibility of the ballot being returned, she replied, "My ballot is on its way to California, where I reside, and I trust the system that it will arrive there." In her speech that day, Vice President Harris defined this year's election as a choice between "a country of chaos, fear, and hatred" or "a country of freedom, justice, and compassion," urging people to vote. She is scheduled to conclude her day with a rally in East Lansing, Michigan.
