Seosan City Wins Grand Prize at Chungnam Province Public Officials Drone Challenge

Seosan City Wins Grand Prize at Chungnam Province Public Officials Drone Challenge Lee Wanseop, mayor of Seosan, and related officials celebrated winning the Grand Prize in the precision control category at the 3rd Chungcheongnam-do Civil Servant Drone Challenge. / Seosan City

Seosan City in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 30th that it received the top prize in the drone precision control category at the 3rd Chungcheongnam-do Public Officials Drone Challenge Competition.


This competition was held at the Buyeo-gun Drone Education Experience Center on the 25th, targeting public officials from 15 cities and counties in South Chungcheong Province, with the aim of strengthening drone operation capabilities and promoting the acquisition of the latest drone technologies.


The event featured two categories: precision control and search & exploration. A total of 48 public officials who operate drones participated, engaging in fierce competition.


Representing Seosan City, Ham Seungwoo, head of the Spatial Information Team in the Land Management Division, and Jeon Hojin, a staff member, formed a team and had the honor of winning the top prize in the precision control category.


Mayor Lee Wanseop said, "By winning the top prize at this drone challenge competition, we were able to demonstrate Seosan City's drone operation capabilities," and added, "We will continue to strive to improve public services by applying drones to various administrative tasks."


Meanwhile, Seosan City employees who have acquired Class 1 drone licenses have operated the 'Visiting Youth Drone Experience Class' and the drone experience booth at the 21st Seosan Haemieupseong Festival, receiving a great response.
