Kakao Enterprise announced on the 29th that it conducted a genomic big data analysis training workshop based on Kakao Cloud at the Korean Society of Bioinformatics regular academic conference, 'BioInfo 2024.'
The Korean Society of Bioinformatics is a leading society in the fields of bioinformatics and systems biology in Korea. It promotes academic research, domestic and international exchanges, and the training of related professionals. From the 22nd to the 25th, the society held the BioInfo 2024 event over four days at the Gyeongju Hwabaek Convention Center, featuring lectures and workshops.
About 30 hospital officials, researchers, and university students participated in this workshop aimed at expanding the use of Kakao Cloud and advancing research technologies in the medical and bioindustry sectors. The workshop included ▲Introduction to Kakao Cloud ▲Configuration and overview of the GATK (Genome Analysis Tool Kit) pipeline ▲Big data analysis practice.
Choi Kwangmook, Head of Business Development TF at Kakao Enterprise, emphasized, "Kakao Cloud actively supports smoother cloud usage in the medical and bioindustry sectors and continues to engage in ongoing technical exchanges and collaborations with industry experts."
