Hyundai Motor Sponsors Hacking and Security Conference

Hyundai Motor Company announced that it will participate as the main sponsor in the international hacking and security conference POC 2024, held in Seoul for two days starting from the 7th of next month.

POC (Power of Community) Security is an event held annually since 2006 to enhance South Korea's cybersecurity capabilities, where domestic and international cybersecurity researchers and companies share hacking and security technology information.

During the event, Hyundai Motor will operate a recruitment promotion booth. Cybersecurity organization staff will participate to communicate directly with job applicants. This sponsorship marks Hyundai as the only automotive company among the participating companies at POC 2024 and the first global automotive company to participate as the main sponsor of POC.

As the importance of cybersecurity grows worldwide, Hyundai Motor expects that participating as a sponsor this time will strengthen its cybersecurity commitment and enable it to recruit outstanding talent. Last year, the same event saw participation from over 350 people from 17 countries.

This year’s event will cover 17 topics including browsers, operating systems, virtualization, and blockchain. A company representative stated, "Hyundai Motor’s cybersecurity organization has the advantage of gaining security work experience across various product groups such as automobiles, apps, web, factories, servers, and cloud," adding, "We will actively recruit cybersecurity industry talent through proactive research on advanced cybersecurity technologies and a hacker-friendly culture."
