President Yoon Suk-yeol held a credential presentation ceremony for ambassadors from 13 countries, including Giovanni Gaspari, the Apostolic Nuncio to Korea, the Presidential Office announced on the 28th.
On the afternoon of the same day, President Yoon received credentials from the ambassadors at the credential presentation ceremony held in the Jayu Hall on the 2nd floor of the Yongsan Presidential Office.
The credential presentation ceremony was attended by Ambassador Gaspari, Miguel ?ngel Ubaldino Romero ?lvarez, Ambassador of Paraguay to Korea, Saud Hasan Al Nuaimi, Ambassador of Bahrain to Korea, Suhe Suhbold, Ambassador of Mongolia to Korea, Helen Aitsi, Ambassador of Papua New Guinea to Korea, Karl-Ulf Andersson, Ambassador of Sweden to Korea, Janis Berzinsh, Ambassador of Latvia to Korea, Alisher Abdusalomov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Korea, Bruno Jans, Ambassador of Belgium to Korea, Sindiswa Ntombolomo Mnkuku, Ambassador of South Africa to Korea, Juri Jerviahho, Ambassador of Finland to Korea, Dario Cesar Zelaya Alvarez, Ambassador of Argentina to Korea, and Rafael Harpaz, Ambassador of Israel to Korea.
Afterwards, President Yoon took commemorative photos with the ambassadors, their spouses, and aides, then moved to the reception hall.
Credentials are diplomatic documents in which the head of state of the sending country guarantees the ambassador to the receiving country. The credential presentation ceremony is an event where the head of state of the sending country presents the credentials to the new ambassador, which are then delivered to the head of state of the host country.
The ceremony was attended by Cho Tae-yeol, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shin Won-sik, Director of the National Security Office, Kim Tae-hyo, First Deputy Director of the National Security Office, Lee Do-woon, Senior Secretary for Public Relations, Park Chun-seop, Senior Secretary for Economic Affairs, and Lee Chung-myeon, Foreign Affairs Secretary.
