Emoticon Designs on Municipal Achievements Receive Great Response

Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) announced on the 25th that it held a free distribution event for the city's representative character 'Didi-ssi' emoticons on the 24th.

This event was held to commemorate Didi-ssi's excellent design selection in the Brand Design category of the Good Design Award. The distribution mainly targeted citizens who subscribed to the Dongducheon City Hall notification talk channel on KakaoTalk, and the stock was depleted early due to exceeding the number of pre-registrations.

The emoticons distributed this time were designed to celebrate Dongducheon City's major achievements, such as the selection of a pet-themed park, the opening of the Natural Recreation Forest Eoullim and Rim Spa, and the opening of the Media Center, and were expressed with cute actions that can be used in daily life.

A city official said, "We prepared 25,000 emoticons, but it is regrettable that we could not distribute them to everyone due to more participation than expected," adding, "We will prepare additional distribution events in the future."

He continued, "For those who did not receive the emoticons, files that can also be used on mobile devices have been posted on the Dongducheon City website. We ask for your great interest."

Dongducheon City plans to continue delivering city administration news promptly through the Dongducheon City Hall notification talk channel and will continuously create various communication opportunities using Didi-ssi.
