Loss of Household Items Due to Fire of Unknown Cause

A fire of unknown origin broke out at a laundry located in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, injuring one resident with minor injuries.

According to the fire authorities on the 25th, the fire occurred at around 8:37 a.m. at a laundry located on the third floor of a three-story building in Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.

As a result of the fire, a woman in her 60s suffered burns on her fingers, and five residents evacuated in a commotion.

The fire department, which arrived at around 8:38 a.m., deployed 19 pump trucks and 65 firefighters, and extinguished the fire at around 9:13 a.m., 20 minutes after dispatch.

The fire destroyed the laundry and its interior furnishings, and the fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
