A story about a woman who feeds her breast milk to her husband has been shared.

Recently, Divinity Burts (31), who lives in New Jersey, USA, posted a video titled "Making Butter from Breast Milk" on her Instagram. The video showed the process of making butter from breast milk that Burts had expressed. Burts spread a generous amount of the finished butter on toasted bread and ate it thinly spread.

Burts started making food with her breast milk in August. It became a kind of habit after she began feeding breast milk to her husband, who was physically exhausted after boxing. She said, "Since my husband started drinking breast milk, his stamina seems to have improved," adding, "He prefers breast milk over regular milk." She also mentioned, "I actually saw breast milk for bodybuilders being sold at $5 per ounce (about 7,000 won)," and "Currently, my husband drinks protein shakes with breast milk three times a week."

Netizens who watched the video reacted critically, saying things like "Drinking breast milk? That's shocking," "This video made me feel disgusted," "Why would an adult drink breast milk?" and "Just give him regular milk." However, some responded positively with comments such as "What a creative idea," "You could sell it," "Next time, make ice cream," "It's sweet how she cares for her husband," and "Her husband must be happy."

Meanwhile, in 2015, the British Medical Journal described breast milk as a "superfood," claiming it has benefits such as promoting recovery, strengthening muscles, and supporting the immune system. In the United States, many adults purchase breast milk at quite a high price. However, there is little data on whether breast milk is beneficial for adults.
