"Too Many Customers Only Want Straws" Rejected... "You'll Fail Soon" Curse

Troubled by Customers Using Disposable Items Excessively per Drink
Requests for Disposable Items Without Purchasing Drinks or Desserts

A claim has emerged that a customer who did not order a drink asked for free straws and, when refused, started using abusive language.

On the 20th, a post titled "Do cafe supplies come out if you dig the ground?" was uploaded on the online community Nate Pann. A, who runs a cafe, said, "Since I operate near a hospital, there are too many people who ask for straws, disposable spoons, forks, knives, etc., without purchasing any drinks or desserts," and added, "Today, I just couldn't stand it anymore." He continued, "I got into an argument with such a person, and they said to me, 'If you run a business near a hospital, many patients and guardians will come, so don't do business like this. If giving one straw means you will go bankrupt, why do business? Seeing you act so petty, you will fail soon,' and then they left," he lamented.

He complained, "A branch with similar sales to ours says they use one pack of straws over three days, but our store uses them all in one day. Especially because patients and guardians who buy one drink take more than 10 straws, we even removed the straws from the self-service bar." He added, "People also come and demand disposable forks and spoons without any notice. Once, someone ordered a coffee to go and asked for a paper cup, and when I said no, they got annoyed and said, 'Then how are we supposed to share?' Such unreasonable behavior is common."

A said, "It’s not my fault because the cafe opened first and then the hospital was built nearby. Cafe supplies don’t come out of the ground; they are bought with money. Why don’t they understand that while they want one, I have many?" He continued, "What I really don’t understand is that I was told I lack sense because I don’t have bendable straws. I told them straws are sold at convenience stores, but some said they know that and only need a small amount, so buying them would be a waste of money. It’s not like my family or acquaintances are hospitalized, so why do they boldly demand straws for patients? Isn’t it natural to pay if you need them? Am I doing business wrong?" he questioned.

Netizens who saw the story responded with comments such as, "People who waste cafe supplies as if it’s not their money are really disgusting," and "If they are stingy about spending their own money, why don’t they realize others feel the same?" One netizen who also runs a cafe advised A, saying, "Showing that you won’t give something to save money is bad for business," and added, "It’s better to write that disposable items are not provided to protect the environment."
