On the 19th, a social skills enhancement program through peer interaction activities was conducted at major local sites including Mangwoo History and Culture Park
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) successfully completed the 'Youth Mind Growth Friends Camp' on the 19th.
This event was held at major local attractions such as Mangwoo History and Culture Park and Jungnang Camping Forest Lawn Plaza, targeting about 40 youths born between 2012 and 2014 in the area.
Following the first session in April, the second 'Mind Growth Friends Camp' was planned and conducted by the Youth Counseling Welfare Center to support various experiences and exchange activities for youths both inside and outside of school.
The program consisted of ▲Mind Exploration ▲Understanding Psychological Profiles of Figures in Jungnang ▲Mind Growth, starting with a personality type test to help youths discover their strengths.
Afterwards, participants moved to Mangwoo History and Culture Park, where they explored the graves of historical figures resting there with a local culture guide and gained historical knowledge through a true or false quiz about those figures.
Finally, at the lawn plaza, they enjoyed recreational time filled with laughter and fun through group outdoor activities.
One youth who attended the camp shared, “It was fun to laugh and play freely, and doing it with friends made it feel even more special.”
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “I hope this camp activity helps youths discover their strengths, achieve self-growth, and create precious memories with their peers. We will continue to support various experiences and activities so that youths can grow more maturely and healthily.”
The district is conducting various educational programs for youths through the Jungnang Myeonmok and Yangwon Media Centers and the Bang Jeong-hwan Education Support Center.
