Wonju Airport Maintains Two Daily Round-Trip Flights to Jeju in Winter, Morning and Afternoon

Jin Air Flight Schedule Approved by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport... Valid Until March 29 Next Year
Wonju Airport Passenger Numbers Expected to Surpass 205,000 This Year Compared to Last Year

Wonju City, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Mayor Won Kang-su) announced on the 18th that the 2024 winter (October 27, 2024 ? March 29, 2025) flight schedule for Jeju flights at Wonju Airport will be maintained in the morning and afternoon time slots, as in the summer period.


With the final approval from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for Jin Air's winter flight schedule at Wonju Airport, the Wonju-Jeju route will continue to operate in the morning and afternoon time slots as before, effective until March 29, 2025.

Starting Sunday, the 27th, flights departing from Wonju Airport to Jeju will change from the previous 11:10 AM and 5:20 PM to 10:55 AM and 4:55 PM, respectively. Flights returning from Jeju to Wonju Airport will be adjusted from the previous 9:05 AM and 3:20 PM to 8:50 AM and 2:30 PM, respectively.


Mayor Won Kang-su of Wonju said, “Revitalizing the airport is an extremely important issue that affects the local economy,” and added, “Together with the 360,000 citizens of Wonju, we will actively work with great interest to ensure that the revitalization plans, including the relocation of the Wonju Airport passenger terminal, facility improvements, and infrastructure expansion, are definitely reflected in the 7th Comprehensive Airport Development Plan to be established by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in 2025.”

Meanwhile, the number of flights at Wonju Airport in the first half of the year was 784, with approximately 113,000 passengers. It is expected that the total number of passengers this year will exceed last year’s record of about 205,000 by the end of the second half.
