The Democratic Party of Korea on the 16th urged Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People Power Party, to "now break ties with the Yoon Seok-yeol and Kim Geon-hee couple."

Park Chan-dae, the floor leader of the Democratic Party, mentioned in the Supreme Council meeting that the prosecution has reportedly reached a tentative conclusion to dismiss Kim Geon-hee without a review by the investigation review committee regarding the Deutsche Motors stock manipulation allegations, saying, "Since it has been confirmed that there is no answer if the prosecution is entrusted with the Deutsche Motors stock manipulation allegations, the Sambu Construction stock manipulation allegations, the Yangpyeong highway preferential treatment allegations, the nomination and election interference allegations, the customs drug investigation cover-up allegations, and all other suspicions, the truth must be revealed through a special investigation on Kim Geon-hee." He added, "Leader Han should now break ties with the Yoon Seok-yeol and Kim Geon-hee couple," and urged, "Declare your support for the Kim Geon-hee special investigation even today and actively cooperate with the special investigation."

Floor leader Park said, "If you try to lightly cover up Kim Geon-hee’s criminal suspicions with words like refraining from activities or personnel reshuffle, you will only be regarded as the original Kim Geon-hee line who exchanged over 300 KakaoTalk messages with her," and added, "Please prove directly through the special investigation that you yourself, Leader Han, are not a subject of personnel reshuffle."
