Fireproof Insulation Solutions Exhibition
Kyungdongwon announced on the 16th that it will participate in the ‘Korea Architecture Industry Fair 2024 (KAFF 2024)’. Kyungdongwon plans to exhibit fire-resistant insulation solutions responsible for the safety and environment of buildings, including the fire door ‘Safe Door’, the sandwich panel ‘Safe Panel’ with fire safety, and the semi-noncombustible urethane insulation materials ‘Safe Board’ and ‘Safe Foam’.
The Safe Panel exhibited by Kyungdongwon this time is a sandwich panel made by inserting semi-noncombustible urethane material that can withstand fire for 10 minutes between the finishing materials of buildings. Compared to the ‘glass wool panel’ mainly used domestically, it has excellent insulation performance even with a thinner thickness, resulting in outstanding energy-saving effects. It meets the strengthened safety regulations following the Icheon logistics warehouse fire and can be used for various purposes such as factory and warehouse roofing construction. It is characterized by its strong resistance to wind pressure and excellent durability.
The Safe Door also attracts attention. Thanks to its excellent insulation performance, this product can prevent indoor energy loss and block noise and drafts with superior airtightness. It prevents condensation on the surface of the fire door even in winter when the temperature difference between indoors and outdoors is severe. In case of fire, it blocks smoke and toxic gas inflow and flames for 90 minutes while preventing deformation of the fire door. Additionally, it maintains the outer surface temperature of the fire door below an average of 140℃ for 60 minutes, ensuring safety even in fire situations.
Kyungdongwon will also exhibit the board-type urethane insulation material ‘Safe Board’ and the spray-type ‘Safe Foam’. Safe Board is mainly used on building exterior walls along with various exterior materials such as high-density panels, color steel plates, and stone panels, while Safe Foam is mainly applied to ambient and low-temperature warehouses. Both products not only have excellent insulation performance but also possess semi-noncombustible properties that ensure fire safety. In addition, Kyungdongwon will exhibit the fireproof coating material ‘Escort’, which protects major structural parts of buildings such as columns and beams from fire.
Kim Jong-wook, CEO of Kyungdongwon, said, “Through this exhibition, we plan to showcase Kyungdongwon’s differentiated solutions that protect safety from fire,” adding, “Kyungdongwon will continue to strive for various fire-resistant insulation technologies for a comfortable living environment.”
