Gyeonggi Province will conduct sexual harassment prevention and response training for private companies.
On the 16th, Gyeonggi Province announced that on the 24th, it will provide specialized training on the prevention and response to 'workplace sexual harassment' for business owners, grievance counselors, and HR personnel of private companies at Ilwol Sumokwon in Suwon City.
This training was promoted to create a gender-equal and safe workplace in local companies, following Governor Kim Dong-yeon's pledge to expand the 'Gender Equality Ombudsman' to the private sector.
The main training contents include ▲latest cases of workplace sexual harassment ▲incident handling procedures ▲business owners' legal obligations, covering practical and legal knowledge necessary for the field.
The instructor will be Kang Soo-yeon, CEO of Jaewon HR Consulting.
Business owners or persons in charge who wish to participate in the training can apply through the Gyeonggi Gender Equality Ombudsman website (gg.go.kr/ggeo) by the 23rd of this month.
Masunheung, Gyeonggi Province Human Rights Officer, said, "Through this training, we hope to enhance the understanding of workplace sexual harassment among local business owners and grievance counselors, prevent sexual harassment that may occur in workplaces, and foster a sound and safe corporate culture."
