This shipment amounts to 18 tons (worth approximately 50 million KRW), marking the 18th export shipment of Super Oning Rice. Since 2007, Pyeongtaek City has exported a total of 235 tons of rice to countries including France, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Indonesia.

The city expects this export to serve as a turning point for local farmers who are experiencing difficulties due to abnormal high temperatures, falling rice prices, and decreased consumption.

Jung Jang-seon, Mayor of Pyeongtaek, stated, "We are expanding export support projects to strengthen the competitiveness of Pyeongtaek's agricultural food exports," adding, "We will continue to do our best so that Pyeongtaek's excellent agricultural products can be more loved overseas."

Super Oning Rice is produced through thorough quality control and a strict inspection process while the city operates the rice cultivation complex. It has received the Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) certification and the G-Mark certification from the Governor of Gyeonggi Province.
