OCI Holdings announced on the 14th that over 100 employees and their families participated in the 'OCI Forest Care' event held at Ichon Hangang Park in Seoul on the 12th.

OCI Holdings stated that this event receives a positive response from employees with children, resulting in a relatively high participation rate among the various volunteer activities promoted by the company. While 47 people participated in the first event last year, the number has approximately doubled this year.

They planted a total of 1,600 saplings, including 800 each of Spiraea and Forsythia, which are effective in carbon absorption, and with the help of experts from the Korea Federation for Environmental Movements, also planted 9 large Zelkova trees.

OCI Holdings plans to plant more than 6,000 trees on a 3,000㎡ (approximately 900 pyeong) site by 2025. On the 22nd, about 30 employees will additionally plant 11 Ash trees as part of departmental volunteer activities.

Lee Woo-hyun, Chairman of OCI Holdings, said, "OCI Holdings will continue ESG activities in the environmental field that contribute to protecting urban ecosystems and reducing carbon emissions, in line with our identity as a global renewable energy company."
