Hanam City's Representative Character '10m Hanami' Appears at Misa Lake Park 10m Hanam Certification Shot Event Promotion.

Hanam City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 11th that it will display a large-scale 10-meter-tall installation of Hanam City's representative character, ‘Hanami’, at Misa Lake Park. The goal is to offer Hanam citizens a special autumn memory.

The exhibition, promoted by Mayor Lee Hyun-jae of Hanam, will run for about two months from the 12th to November 30th. Along with the character exhibition, various cultural events will be held to attract citizen participation and interest.

This large-scale exhibition is part of a project to establish Hanam’s mascots ‘Hanami’ and ‘Banguli’ as representative cultural landmarks of Hanam. It will provide a special experience by harmonizing with the beautiful night view and autumn atmosphere of Misa Lake Park. Hanam City plans to encourage more citizens to visit Misa Lake Park by making Hanami a new cultural landmark through this exhibition.

In particular, since Mayor Lee Hyun-jae took office, it was diagnosed that Hanam’s cultural infrastructure and programs were not at a level satisfactory to citizens. Since 2023, the city has increased satisfaction by offering busking performances and various music festivals. The second phase involves a bold and new attempt to provide advanced cultural services through a large-scale character public exhibition, which is highly noteworthy.

On the 12th at 6:30 PM, an official lighting ceremony will be held in conjunction with busking performances that have provided beautiful and enjoyable music to many citizens.

Mayor Lee Hyun-jae, along with a delegation from the Arkansas Economic Commission visiting Hanam following an economic cooperation agreement with Arkansas State, will attend to promote Hanam City’s brand internationally.

Mayor Lee Hyun-jae emphasized, “We will actively promote projects that improve citizens’ quality of life, regardless of whether they are tangible or intangible,” adding, “We will continue to create Hanam City as the number one cultural city with more enjoyable attractions than Gangnam through various high-quality policies.”

From the 12th to November 30th, Hanam City plans to encourage greater citizen participation through a photo event featuring the 10-meter Hanami character installation. Additionally, by collaborating with busking performances and the Misa 1-dong Healing Concert, the city will provide citizens with special pleasures that are enjoyable both visually and audibly.
