Changwon Facilities Corporation Conducts 'Human Rights Education Through Films'

Changwon Facilities Management Corporation in Gyeongnam announced on the 11th that it had conducted "Human Rights Education through Movies" to enhance human rights sensitivity and establish values.

This human rights education took place by participating in the "12th Changwon Women's Human Rights Film Festival" held at the Gyeongnam Center of the Audience Media Foundation.

Chairman Kim Jonghae and about 30 human rights management officers from each department (Human Rights Promotion Team) watched "Call Jane," a film based on the true story of an underground organization that secretly provided abortion procedures, which were strictly regulated and illegal in American society during the 1960s.

Through the film, the corporation's executives and employees had the opportunity to understand the human rights violations depicted in the movie and to reflect on the issue of women's human rights protection.

Chairman Kim stated, "I hope that watching human rights films will raise our sensitivity to human rights and serve as an opportunity to spread a culture of respect for human rights."
