Jongno-gu to Hold 'Youth Career and Job Fair' at Marronnier Park on the 16th

Operation of 45 Booths Including Drones and Robots... Experience the World of Careers

A festival where young people can explore the world of various professions and nurture their dreams will be held in Jongno, Seoul. Jongno-gu (District Mayor Jeong Munheon) announced on the 11th that the ‘2024 Jongno-gu Youth Career and Job Expo’ will be held at Marronnier Park in Daehak-ro (104 Daehak-ro) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 16th.

This expo, under the slogan ‘Opening Dreams with My Job and My Path,’ is organized in collaboration with local companies, schools, and educational institutions to provide opportunities for diverse job experiences and career exploration. A total of 45 experience booths will be set up, along with a career concert and youth club performances.

At the booths, attendees can experience drone, robot, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies representing the Fourth Industrial Revolution era, as well as traditional crafts, precious metals, and sewing based in Jongno. As part of a social contribution project, Hurim Networks Co., Ltd. will operate booths for small robots and autonomous driving robots, and Jeonghwa Arts University will run K-POP performances and special makeup booths.

The official opening ceremony of the expo will begin at 9:50 a.m. with a dazzling drone flight that captures attention. From 10:50 a.m., there will be a career special lecture by the Jongno District Mayor on the theme of ‘Knowledge and Wisdom,’ followed by a professional career lecture by Police Inspector Yeon Gwangwon from Gangnam Police Station at 2:30 p.m.

Jongno-gu will hold various events sponsored by Unilever Korea, Ben & Jerry’s, and Hurim Networks. These include ‘Breathless Mission Race,’ ‘Find Jongno Jin.I.Baek (Jinro Is Back),’ ‘Listen to Career Policies~ Solve Quizzes~ Also at the Career Concert,’ ‘Catch Your Dream Job and Luck,’ and ‘The Answer Lies in the Lecture!’ Participants will also receive abundant gifts.

The youth career planning team actively participated in everything from slogan selection to planning and operating experience booths, as well as hosting the opening ceremony and performing in club shows. District Mayor Jeong Munheon stated, “I hope this becomes a starting point where young people can reflect on their careers through hands-on experiences in various fields and unleash their infinite potential.”
