The 70th Baekje Cultural Festival, held in Buyeo County, Chungnam under the theme "Beautiful Baekje, Shining Sabi," has successfully come to a close.
The county announced on the 7th that a total of 1.06 million visitors attended the Baekje Cultural Festival, which was held for nine days from September 28 to October 6.
This year’s festival is being praised for newly highlighting the value and charm of Baekje culture, establishing itself as the nation’s top festival by harmonizing a variety of programs and modern sensibilities centered around the Baekje Cultural Complex.
In addition, dazzling media art set against the backdrop of Sabigung Palace blended with the grandeur of the Baekje royal palace, captivating the eyes of many visitors.
The festival featured family and child-friendly programs such as the "Yes Kids Zone," "Bread Barber Shop," "Lotte World Parade Musical Show," and the "Taehak Doctor Selection Contest," which drew significant attention.
Furthermore, by diversifying the event venues and operating free shuttle buses, visitors were able to enjoy major Baekje cultural tourist attractions within the county.
In particular, the "Baekje Old Bridge" connected Gudeurae and Sinri, and the riverside scenery of Baekmagang, decorated with LED sailboats and cosmos flowers, allowed visitors to enjoy the romance of autumn nights.
Park Junghyun, the county governor, said, "If Baekje is a musical score, the Baekje Cultural Festival is joyful and happy music," adding, "We will prepare with great care so that next year we can creatively interpret the score and present new music with new instruments."
