Gyeonggi Province achieved a total export consultation performance worth 22.68 million USD through the Bio Healthcare Export Consultation Meeting.
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency announced on the 2nd that they achieved a total of 190 consultations worth 22.68 million USD at the '2024 Bio Healthcare Export Consultation Meeting' held at Suwon Novotel on the 30th of last month.
The event was organized to provide opportunities for local companies to pioneer emerging markets in Southeast Asia and to strengthen the global competitiveness of the bio healthcare industry.
The event was held in the form of one-on-one consultations between 33 buyers from three Southeast Asian countries including Singapore and Thailand, and 61 bio healthcare companies in the province specializing in functional cosmetics, healthcare services, and more.
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency also set up a consultation booth for corporate difficulties, providing free consulting on challenges faced by local companies during the export process.
A representative from Company D, who participated in the consultation meeting, said, "I am grateful to be able to challenge the Southeast Asian market through this export consultation meeting," adding, "It was very effective and meaningful to meet various overseas buyers in one place and conduct practical consultations."
Moon Doo-sik, Director of the International Trade Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, "We held the export consultation meeting to provide bio healthcare companies in the province with opportunities to meet promising local buyers and promote their products directly without any self-financing," and promised, "We expect this to be an important stepping stone for pioneering emerging markets in Southeast Asia, and we will continue to actively support local export companies to gain competitiveness and grow on the global stage."
