Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the media art gallery Underdog Museum on the afternoon of the 27th for the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Remind Row: Festival of Heroic Light."
Hosted by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs and organized by the Mapo Mangwon Youth Culture Center, this media art exhibition was prepared to help young people who have not experienced the history of national defense to recognize the history of the Korean War veterans and to foster feelings of gratitude and respect.
At the opening ceremony, about 20 people including veterans from the Mapo District Veterans Hall and students from Sangam Middle School attended. Representatives of the veterans and students read the declaration of patriotism together and watched the media art video.
At the ceremony, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said, "The Korean War veterans are heroes of history and heroes of the future," adding, "We will do our best to establish a culture of patriotism in daily life so that veterans can be respected in society."
The "Remind Row: Festival of Heroic Light" exhibition will run until October 2.
