Hwaseong City Signs Friendship Agreement with Yeongyang County, Gyeongbuk

Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 27th that it signed a friendship agreement with Yeongyang County in Gyeongbuk Province at the city hall on the 26th.

At the signing ceremony attended by about 30 officials including Hwaseong Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun and Yeongyang County Governor Oh Do-chang, both cities agreed to actively promote sustainable cooperation projects to enhance the interests of their citizens and improve their quality of life.


Through this friendship agreement, the two local governments will cooperate on ▲ linking and promoting cultural and ecological tourism resources ▲ establishing a stable supply system for agricultural and specialty products ▲ mutual invitation and cooperation for major events ▲ sharing excellent policies ▲ strengthening policy capabilities to solve regional issues.


Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun said, "We will do our best to promote exchange projects that leverage the strengths of both cities so that they can grow together." Governor Oh Do-chang also responded, "I hope this friendship agreement will lead to active exchanges between the two local governments."


Hwaseong City, which is set to launch as a special city with a population of one million next year, currently exchanges with 9 sister cities and 3 friendship cities, and Yeongyang County has become its fourth friendship city.
