Geochang County Hosts the 19th Korea New Knowledge Farmers Knowledge Dissemination Conference

Leading the Future of Agriculture: New Knowledge Farmers Gather in One Place

Geochang County in Gyeongnam announced on the 25th that the 19th Korea New Knowledge Farmers Knowledge Dissemination Conference, an event to explore new ideas and advanced technologies in agriculture as well as the future of the industry, was held in the Suseungdae area.


Approximately 300 people attended the conference, including Vice Governor Lee Byungcheol, Gyeongnam Provincial Council Culture and Welfare Committee Chair Park Jueon and other provincial council members, Vice Chair of the County Council Shin Jungyang and other county council members, Korea New Knowledge Farmers Central Association President Park Gongyeong, Buuul-Gyeong Branch President Ryu Jibong, officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the province, and New Knowledge Farmers.

During the event, the New Knowledge Farmers Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Branch donated 3 million won to the Geochang County Scholarship Foundation in a meaningful gesture. The program also featured a talk concert on the theme of conversations between farmer parents and their children, as well as presentations on outstanding cases of knowledge dissemination by New Knowledge Farmers.


Additionally, as part of the second day’s schedule, New Knowledge Farmers from across the country visited Suseungdae for a cultural tour and attended the Gamaksan Flower & Star Travel Festival, taking time to enjoy the autumn atmosphere of Geochang.


Vice Governor Lee Byungcheol stated, “It is very meaningful that the New Knowledge Farmers Knowledge Dissemination Conference, which leads the future of agriculture, is being held in Geochang. I hope you create beautiful and happy memories here.”


Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs annually selects New Knowledge Farmers who develop new agricultural knowledge, create high added value, and share their developed knowledge with society, thereby leading innovation in agriculture and rural communities.
