Daegu Cyber University will hold the 2024 Fall Festival under the slogan ‘Passion for Learning, Together at the Academic Festival’ at the Space Share Jungbu Center in Seoul on the 21st.

This festival is designed to move away from traditional department-centered talent shows and team-building events, instead focusing on academic presentations and special lectures to strengthen the individual competencies of enrolled students, enhance learning abilities, and promote knowledge exchange between majors.

The festival will begin with an opening ceremony at 1:30 p.m., followed by an academic festival, a special guest lecture, department booth operations, and a closing ceremony.

The special lecture, which has attracted considerable attention from students even before the event, will be delivered by Professor Kim Kyungil (Ajou University), known as a star lecturer from the tvN program ‘Eojjeoda Eoreun’. He will give a talk on the topic ‘Understanding Motivation Leads to Happiness’.

For this academic festival, submissions were accepted until the 31st of last month for outstanding papers, exemplary report cases, and excellent practice cases, with about ten works received. The award-winning entries will be presented at the festival along with an awards ceremony for each category.

For students who are unable to attend in person and for those interested in the academic festival, a live broadcast will be provided through the university's YouTube channel ‘Daegu Cyber University TV’.

Kim Heesook, the 23rd president of the student council, said, “Although the nature of a cyber university means students often study alone, I hope this academic festival will be a time to demonstrate academic abilities and communicate with each other through knowledge,” adding, “I encourage everyone to participate in this event where we become united through knowledge.”

On the same day, the Daegu Cyber University Graduate School of Human Care will hold the ‘2nd International Conference of the Graduate School of Human Care’ in the Emerald Hall on the 8th floor, allowing the university to blossom with knowledge through two academic events.
