Participation in the 'Local Is a New World' Project
Hongseong County in Chungnam has partnered with Shinsegae Department Store to introduce a premium dining course featuring local specialties.
Shinsegae Department Store is carrying out the "Local is Shinsegae" project, which aims to discover outstanding local ingredients from Korea and develop fine dining-level menus to present to customers.
At the event held at the gourmet research center Our Planet, a dining course was showcased using ingredients such as organic rice, Korean beef, and Togulsaujeot from Hongseong County.
This initiative is expected to help enhance the value of the local brand and open up new markets.
Lee Yongrok, the governor of Hongseong County, stated, "This event will be a valuable opportunity to build Hongseong County's brand as a city of taste and promote the excellence of local specialties nationwide. Based on this experience, we will further focus on branding and adding high value to our local agricultural and marine products."
